hotel rooms Jelenia Gora During concert season, the Pinson Valley High School Band is split up into two groups: the Symphonic Band and the Concert Band, a tradition that began three years ago. The Symphonic Band, under the direction of Mr. Jeff Caldwell, is for the top students in the program who seek a more advanced level of playing. The Concert Band, under the direction of Mr.Joey Harbison, is for those students who are still honing their skills. |
| 2000-2001 Members The Symphonic Band began with excellence, and has continued to reach for higher levels of greatness. Since its inception three years ago, the Symphonic Band has earned overall I's on both the District and State Level. This past March at the State competition at Oak Mountain High School, the Symphonic Band landed a I, I, II on stage and a II in sight reading. Congratulations, Symphonic Band! In addition to overall achievement, the Symphonic Band also boasts a few of the finest players in the county, and even in the state. Every year we send representatives to the All-County Bands, and several more are selected to participate in honor bands at such institutions as the University of Alabama at Birgminham, the University of Montevallo, and the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
