June to September 2000 - SCP are a designer furniture retailer and manufacturer based in London. While working for Cognitive ApplicationsValencia Hoteles centrales I was project manager on this web site, responsible for design, implementation and co-ordinating a PERL programmer and a junior designer.

| national portrait gallery portrait explorer installation
February to June 2000 - The portrait explorer is an interactive system containing approximately 10,000 works from the London gallery's primary collection. I was Cognitive Application's project manager for interactive features - animations and features on specific works chosen by the gallery's curators.
As well as managing a small project team and reporting to the main project manager and client, I was able to create Flash and Quicktime animations. | |

| shakespeare's globe theatre installation
October 1999 to February 2000 - I was Cognitive Application's lead designer on the Globe exhibition's interactive installation. I was responsible for the graphical and animated content for seven separate interactive kiosks.
hotel rooms Maastricht The kiosks are situated in the Globe's permanent exhibition space beneath the theatre's stage. The theatre is located near to its original site on South Bank in London. | |

| national maritime museum search station installation and web site
January to October 1999 - I created Flash animations for several different sections of this major museum installation. Subjects included Nelson's Battles, his tactics, the age of maritime exploration and navigable animated timelines.
A web based version of the Search Station system can be seen here. The Battle of Trafalgar animation is also on the BBC Education web site. I worked on this project while freelancing for Cognitive Applications. | |

| kidney patient guide web site
April to June 1999 - I created interactive Flash animations that illustrated how various kidney related processes work. This work was carried out on a freelance basis for Cognitive Applications.
The web site, funded by Cognitive Applications and the Wellcome Trust has been hugely successful and has become a very successful support for kidney patients, their carers and their families. | |

| cable & wireless museum of submarine telegraphy web site
March 1999 - While freelancing at Cognitive Applications I updated and created new Flash animations which illustrated the technology and processes behind submarine technology.
The Museum of Submarine Technology at Porthcurno, Cornwall, UK is located at the site from where the first telegraph cables were laid to create a global communication network. Click here to launch the web site in a new window. | |

1996 to 1999 - I worked as freelance designer an animator on many interactive and print projects. These included The Global Ranger CD-ROM and British Airways First Light for Dot New Media, the Magnum Photographic Agency CD-ROM and Manchester United museum quiz machine for Cognitive Applications, and the University for Industry project for Futuremedia.
Other project clients include The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, TUI Interactive Media, Phillips, Black Dog Productions, Chris Orr Associates and Mindscape Software. | |
