Welcome to the 2004 season,
Dear Members, Another year has come and gone, and we have gotten a lot done. First of all the club would like to thank all the members who did something to help out this past year. Our opening and closing days went very well. Closing day was the better of the two, we sold out of chicken and every 4-wheeler rafle ticket was sold. Thanks to the members who were kind enough to bring a dish or deserts, with out them we would have ran out of food. The new pond in the back has been redone and is filling very well. We also put new siding and two new overhead doors on the clubhouse. the road had a little work done on it as well as cleaning out the culvert by the gate. Remember when using the rifle range PLEASE pick up after yourself. It only takes a few seconds and our range will look nice. We will also be doing some clearing behind the range this spring. At this time the range will be closed. We will have signs letting you know so please obey them and we will have no accidents. We have noticed a tree stand by the pond built with nails and screws. We voted at the January meeting not to have any permanent tree stands built. We will have portable stands only. You may use screw in steps but they must be taken out at the end of the season. This year we will be finishing the siding, doing something with the kitchen floor, and installing a new gate. We are also looking to make a new pond and working on the little house. Please put this newsletter where you can find it for it will have this year's dates and events. This letter will also be posted on our web site, pointrockgameclub.com Opening day will be Saturday, June 5th. We will have a chicken barbecue and our muzzleloader and money raffle. Every member will be getting tickets in the mail. Thanks to the many members who sold all their tickets last year. Closing day will be September 18th this is also on a Saturday. We will have a barbecue and 4-wheeler raffle. Remember starting in May every Wednesday night the club will be open for food, beer and lots of BS. Our club meetings are on the last Wednesday of the month, January, February, March and April mettings are at 7:00 pm at Yoworski's Inn in Lee Center. May, June, July, August and September meetings are at the club at 8:00 pm. Remember on May 1st the gate combo changes, to get the new one you must pay your dues. We will start taking dues at the February meeting. Also at the February meeting, we well be discussing new range rules such as shooting hours and closing down during hunting season and special events. Enclosed with this letter you recieved raffle tickets please try to sell them as it means a lot more can be done with the club. Our regular dues just cover our operating expences. The insurance for the club has gone up five hundred dollars this year alone. Thank You Don Hall President |
