A: If you have lost your password, there is no way to use HomeBase. If you are a registered user of HomeBase, you may contact New Dimensions for a reset password. This reset password will delete your current password and reset it to the original default password that came with HomeBase. Q: When I try to open one of the managers, I get a Database error, i.e., Index out of Range, corrupt .val files, etc. A: This probably means one or more of the tables that manager is using has become corrupted. Use the Repair Table option from the Main Menu to repair your tables. This should fix approximately 90% of all problems. If this does not work, download the Database Repair utility from our website. It is free and will definitely fix your corrupted tables. Q: One of my contacts lives outside of the United States. Can I add them? A: Yes. HomeBase supports your international contacts. In the contact number fields, press 0 and 011- will be populated. (this is the dialing sequence from the US). You can enter as many numbers and dashes as it takes to complete the international number. Enter CN in the State field for Canadian Contacts or XX for all other International locations. Q: HomeBase will not start, stating cannot connect to activate the BDE. A: The BDE is the database engine that configures and runs the HomeBase tables. I get an error each time I click on the Locations tab. A: To enter additional Locations, make sure you enter Various Locations in the Address field on the Activity Tab. Once Various Locations is entered, the Locations tab automatically becomes available. Simply press V and Various Locations is automatically filled into the rest of the field, then the Locations tab becomes available.
