ANIMOKE

  TIM FROST’S BIOGRAPHY:

I’m currently studying for a Masters in Digital Moving Image at London Guildhall University. I decided to do this course because I wanted to learn some animation and 3D modelling skills. I’d recommend it to anyone who is interested in making short digital films and has a year or so to spare. I'm using 3DS MAX for the project work.

Prior to being a student, I was working with multimedia using Flash, Director and After Effects to produce 2D interactive animations. I was lucky enough to work with some great people — notably those at Cognitive Applicatonsluxury hotels in Santiago de Compostela — where I was involved with projects for the National Maritime Museum, The National Portrait Gallery, The Globe Theatre and er, Manchester United amongst others. I’ve also worked for a division of Heinemann (the publishers) on a major maths eLearning project.

But I didn’t start out using computers — I began as a cartoonist and had ambitions to draw stuff for 2000AD, but it didn’t turn out like that although I was fortunate to do some artwork for the mighty Black Dog Productions. After a lengthy lay-off from drawing I’m back to it and do the odd cartoon job, although I mainly do it for my own pleasure.

Other important details:
I'm 33, living in London and married to the best girl in the world.

I’ ll be looking for work in September 2002!
